Body Buff |

When the Ceratosaurus is within 40 meters of a dinosaur's body, it gains automatic damage reduction. The specifics of this buff have sparked debates since patch 6.5 was released, as past stress test information isn't necessarily applicable to the live version. Based on recent testing, the buff seems influenced by growth, resulting in two primary types of buffs. While additional factors are at play, our collaboration with TurkishDLite revealed the primary mechanics though not every nuance. As a general guideline, a fully grown Ceratosaurus usually determines its body buff—none, 25%, or 50%—using the following criteria:

While factors like your growth compared to the body's growth influence this, the buff generally ends up as none, 25%, or 50%, the actual check in step 3 depends on whether the body's growth equals or exceeds your own.

Keep in mind, while the chuffing can be disruptive, crouching or resting disables it, along with the buff.
